Drew and I went on a Hiking Club hike 11/8 on Sweetwater creek in ATL. Most of the fall color peaked in this area last week so there wasn't a lot of foliage still around to photograph. I saw this leaf floating by me on the edge of the creek and it kind of struck me as sad and peaceful at the same time.
I posted this to remind us to look beyond the "big picture". Sometimes
the "little picture" can be just as powerful even amidst the grandeur
of Fall.

I had the privilege of teaching my "Painting Portraits in a Digital World" class at the Lamarr Williamson School in SC this month! We had a great class of professional photographers and had a ton of fun!! Here are some pics from that week. All images were taken by John Wrightenberry who was also the school director. Thanks John!
Not only did we paint, but we also had a printer in the class and was able to output our paintings onto canvas. The printer was supplied by Alex Hymen and the canvas was donated by Showcase...Thanks guys!!
After the printing was done, we stretched our canvases onto stretcher frames! So, the students got to take home painted samples to show clients right away!

Had to take Harley to the vet yesterday! The ear was oozing and it is obviously bothering him. He was going to have the stitches out Monday but we'll be waiting till next Thursday. The vet didn't feel comfortable removing the stitches with the oozing. Oh well...another week with the cone head!
